Q- How many folders of images can I upload in one event?
A- As many as you like. In fact the more time you take to organize your event into specific groups, the easier it is for your customers to look at the event.

Q- Can I rename category folders after I upload an event?
A- No. You can rename the event, but not the individual categories.

Q- Can I add or remove images from an event that is already online?
A- Yes. You can add and remove images, but not additional folders, nor can you remove folders/categories. (Manage Screen)

Q- Can I add text, copywrite, or a watermark across my images?
A- Yes. When you are ready to upload your images, you can open the Enhancements screen and select your text.

Q- Do I have to "resize" my image in another program before I can upload them to my Gallery?
A- No. We will resize your images for you. All you do is organize your images into Windows Folders, and name your folders as you want them to appear on the web.

Q- Can I upload my categories in any order, or do they have to appear in alphabetical order?
A- You can determine the order when you upload the event. When you open the main directory/folder that contains your event folders, they will appear in the left side of the transfer box. You can move them to the right side of the transfer box in the order you want them to appear on your Gallery.

Q- If I only have one folder of images can I simply upload the images without creating a second folder?
A- Yes. The category that appears on your Gallery will be the same name you use to name your event.

Q- Can I set different shipping options for individual events?
A- Yes. Go to the "Options" Screen.

Q- Can I set a time limit for an event to appear on my Gallery?
A-Yes. You set a date on the "Upload" Screen.

Setting Prices/Packages

Q- Where do I set my State Sales Tax?
A- Go to the "Options" Screen"

Q. Will out of state sales be charged Sales Tax?
A- No. Only customers living in your state will have sales tax added to their final bill. Of course, if there is not state sales tax, none will be added.

Q- Where do I set my Event Prices?
A- Go to the "Items/Prices Screen"


Set Print Prices


Login to the Photographers Dashboard and select "Event Tools / Products & Prices". Select the product catalog that you want to change prices for using the right or left side drop down item selector.

Select a print size and give it a price. Place a check mark in the box next to the item to make it show up as a product on your gallery order screen. By "Un-checking" the size from the list, that size will not appear on your order screen.

A- Yes. You can create 2 different types of Packages.

1- One pose with multiple sizes and quantities
2- Multiple pose's with multiple sizes and quantities


Create Packages


Login to the Photographers Dashboard and select "Event Tools / Products & Prices". Select the product catalog that you want to crate packages for using the right or left side drop down item selector.

Click the "Add Package" button near the bottom of the page and a data input box will open. Enter a name for your package and enter a price for your package in the box labeled "Pose 1". Now select the print sizes and quantities for this package.

Click the "Add" button and the Package will be added to your list. You can move your package up or down if you have more than one item in the list.

Next, check the box of your new package to make it show up on the order page of your gallery. You may also want to check the "Apply Package Addon Pricing" box if you would like to give your client a break on single print pricing, provided that they order a package first.

Now set the name of the product catalog by selecting it from the drop down list at the bottom or by typing a new name into the box. Be sure to click the "Save" button or your edits will be lost.

 

Q- Can I remove sizes from the price list?
A- Yes. Uncheck the box next to the size and it will not appear in the list. You can also move the sizes into any position in the list that works best for you.

Q- Can I add sizes that may not appear in the supplied Product Catalog.
A- No. But all you need to do is send us the Product Catalog (send it as a regular attachment in an email). Send it to
Techsupport. Tell us the size(s) you want to add and we will do it for you.

Go to: c:/presentation/programs/presentation gold 7/Product Catalog. You will find your Product Catalogs there.

CAUTION- Never try and edit the Product Catalog yourself. Only make changes inside the Preview Gallery Upload Utility.

Q- Can I save all of my Prices, Shipping Charges and other settings associated with an event and reuse them for future uploads?
A-Yes. Almost every feature/price/option is saved in your Product Catalog. You name the Product Catalog anything you like. You might want a setup for weddings, another for children and another for family groups. They may have different prices, shipping options, shut off dates, but each type of event always has the same configuration. You save the configurations and select the one you need when you upload an event. You can even change any prices/features/options for a particular event when you are ready to upload that event. This is fully customizable, yet very flexible system to use. Everything is visible on the screens, there are no hidden features that you have to search through pages of instructions to find.

Q- Can I password protect my events?

A- Yes. No actual password is required. We use a method that allows you to "Hide" the event from appearing on the "Event" list page. You simply give your clients the actual URL address/link of the event. They enter the entire address in the Address Bar in their web browser and it will take them to their event.

Q- Can I change the name of my Event that is already online?
A- Yes. Select that option and change your event name.

Q- Can I Add/Remove images from an event that is already online.
A- Yes. Select that option.

Q- Can I designate which event/categories stop in my computer before sending the orders to the lab?
A- Yes. By default, all orders stop in your computer for review. You designate the orders as eXpress Orders. eXpress Orders go from the web, to your computer, to our lab, automatically.

Q- Can I designate a category in an event for eXpress Order.
A- Yes. In some events, like weddings, you may have different categories. Pre-Ceremony, Ceremony, Park, Formals, Portraits, Reception. You may want to send the "non-portraits" directly to the lab with eXpress Order, and have the portrait and formals stop in your computer for retouching, ten send the order to the lab.

Select an event, click on it, then select a category, and designate it for eXpress Order.

You can change any options, to or from, eXpress Order, or standard, at anytime.

Q- Can I set a "Time Limit" my event will be visible for viewing, without removing it from my Gallery?
A- Yes. You can set a Shut Off Date. When your clients go to that event a message will appear instructing them to contact you to see their images. You can then reset the Shut Off Date and the images will be available for viewing again.

Q- Can my clients find other photographers, labs prices etc by going to www.previewgallery.com ?
A- No. Your Gallery is completely "Insulated". If a client does not have your exact Gallery address, they will be stopped from proceeding further. We do not believe it is in our user's best interests to allow their clients to browse through a list of their competitors, or be allowed to see what they pay for prints and services. Click the link above and see where you arrive.

Q- Can my clients order packages?
A- Yes. You can create 2 different types of Packages.

1- One pose with multiple sizes and quantities
2- Multiple pose with multiple sizes and poses

Both types are created the same way. When you finish creating your package and add it to your price list, you check the "Web Package" box, next to the package in the list.

Q- Can they call me to arrange payment options?
A- Yes. You can designate, on the "Options" page, whether you want to have your clients pay online by PayPal, or call you and give you their credit card, or send you a check, or pay when they pick up their order.

Q- Can I offer different Shipping and Delivery Options?
A- Yes. On the "Options" screen you can decide what you want to offer. You can allow them to select to have their orders shipped to them or pick it up at your studio.

Q- Can I set my shipping charges?
A- Yes. You can set shipping on a per event basis. In the "Options" screen you will see the box to enter your shipping charges.

Q- How do I receive an order from my gallery?
A- When your client places an order, you receive it by email, and an order will appear in the Preview Gallery Order Utility. You can use the email order as a backup and keep it in your email box.

You you can open the order that arrives in the Preview Gallery Order Utility and review it on the orders screen. The ordered images will be retrieved and will be placed in a folder that is created for you.

In the Order Folder you will find a data file that looks like this: Web_Order_ (name of event and order number). Click on the data file and order folder will be created. You can open the order folder in Photoshop and retouch your images.

Q- What is an eXpress Order?
A-If you have designated the event as an eXpress Order. The order will come into your computer, the images will be retrieved and the order folder will be created. Then the order will automatically be sent to our lab for processing and shipping. eXpress Orders are shipped directly to your clients, unless they designate to pick it up in your studio. In that case, the order will be shipped back to you.

It is more common that clients will have their orders shipped directly to them, but that option exists.

Q- Can I send my orders to my own lab?
Y- We don't collect any commissions or other related charges on your orders. You can send your print orders to your current lab, or one of our Partner Labs. You pay us a fee to host images your Preview Gallery- $.01 per image per month.

We think you will find our totally integrated Upload-Ordering-Printing-Shipping system the better workflow solution to fulfill orders, but you can use only our Preview Gallery web hosting portion, receive your orders, and create your own order for your local lab.

Encrypted Image CD Viewer- What is that?

A- We have a Secure Encrypted image Viewer you can give your clients when they don't have an internet connection, or you require more security that can be supplied on the web. We have taken every precaution to secure your images on the web, but it is not as safe as our Encrypted Image Viewer.

We have never had a report of our Encrypted Images being printed in any lab or on a home printer.

In the Preview Gallery Order Utility, you will find an icon that opens the Encrypted Imaged CD Viewer Creator.

It is very easy to use.

Select a folder of images you want to Encrypt, set a shutoff date, Encrypt your images. Put a CD in your Drive and make a CD.

If our CD Burner Tool does not recognize your CD burner, go to: C:/Presentation/Viewer Setup

Copy the entire contents of that folder to a CD using your own CD Burning Program.

Make as many copies as you like. You only pay $10 Per Month to use the CD Encrypted Viewer System.

Q-Can I place a link to my Preview Gallery on my web site so my clients can go to my website, then go to my Gallery?
A- Yes. Have your webmaster, or if you program your own site, create a hyperlink to your entire Preview Gallery URL to you Gallery. Example: (text on page) Gallery of Images / (link address) maxader.previewgallery.com/

Q-How do I display and change the images on my Main Page Slide Show?
A- If you have decide to use the Full Version Preview Gallery Template you will have the opportunity to display some of your favorite images, and add text to that main page.

Q-Can I upload events to my Gallery from different computers?
A- Yes. You can upload from different computers, but the orders that arrive from your gallery, will only arrive in each computer that was used to upload the event.
